Homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts

QUICK, EASY & DELICIOUS POP TARTS
There’s nothing better than baking alongside the help of little hands, and this recipe is quick and easy! With pre-made pastry dough and jam or preserves of your choice, making this pop tart recipe is the perfect way to invite your children to join you in the kitchen. With the nostalgic taste of pop tarts and the ease of a simple pastry sheet, these pop tarts will become a favorite bake with the little ones in your home!

- Puffed Pastry Sheets – The easy of this pre-made pastry dough is perfect for this quick and easy treat!
- Strawberry Jam – We love to use our homemade strawberry jam, but any jam flavor would be lovely.
- Egg Wash – To give the pop tarts a lovely texture and beautiful color during the bake.
- Icing – Make an easy icing with powdered sugar, heavy cream and extra strawberry jam.

HOW TO MAKE THESE EASY POP TARTS PANCAKE :
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Roll out pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface.
- Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out hearts from pie crusts.
- Place half of the pie crust hearts onto a baking sheet, covered with parchment paper.
- Spread a small dollop of strawberry jam into the middle of half of the pie crust hearts, leaving room around the edges.
- Whisk the egg to make an egg wash and using a pastry brush, brush the edges of the filled pie crust hearts.
- With the remaining pie crust hearts, gently cover the hearts with jam filling, pinching the edges of the two hearts together.
- Using a fork, gently press around the edges to seal the pop-tarts, then brush the pop-tarts with egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- While the pop-tarts are cooling, make the icing by combining powdered sugar, heavy cream and jam.
- Once the pop-tarts have completely cooled, pipe or spoon the icing onto pop-tarts and enjoy!

- 1 box Ready-to-Bake Pie Crusts
