In Worship & In Waiting
This morning, in my time with the Lord,
I was struck again by this unshakable truth—
In my worship and in my waiting, the heart of God does not change.
Not in the wondering.
Not in the moments when doubt feels louder than belief
or disappointment presses in on every side.
His heart is not moved by my uncertainty.
His character is not altered by my questions.
His love does not waver with my circumstances.
“I the Lord do not change.” — Malachi 3:6
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
And still—how often do I let my doubts shape what I believe to be true of Him?
Yet even there, in the wrestling, He remains.
Faithful.
Steady.
Unmoved.
Today I’m undone by this kind of love—
a love that does not shift,
does not withdraw,
does not grow weary of me.
Even when I run, He remains.
Even when I hide, He seeks.
Even when I question, He stays.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23
Maybe you need this reminder too:
Your questions do not change who God is.
Your circumstances do not diminish His love.
If anything, they are the invitation—
to come back,
to lift your eyes,
to rest again in what has always been true.
He is the Rock that does not move.
The steady place when everything else feels uncertain.
And like the Father running toward the prodigal,
He meets you with compassion still—
arms open,
heart unchanging.
“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed,
but My steadfast love shall not depart from you.” — Isaiah 54:10
