THOUGHTS ON COVID-19

I truly don’t have the words to process the grief and sorrow of the effects of COVID-19 on our world. I’ve been processing and praying and seeking to come up with the words to express my heart and response to it all. 

Over the past few weeks, we have seen this virus continue to ramp up around us, and my heart continues to break. I’m praying for all the families grieving through the loss of loved ones and waiting for results and seeking answers. I’m praying for those who are immunocompromised, living with immense fear during this time. I’m praying for the medical professionals and all those who are continuing to go to work each day, aiding in the fight against the impact of the Coronavirus. I can’t thank you enough for your bravery and service to our world – your impact is truly immeasurable. I’m praying for all the schools, teachers, families and little ones, as we all begin the journey of distance learning and work together to collaborate and continue to help our students to learn and grow each day. I’m praying for the brides and grooms who have had to make the hardest decision in postponing their wedding days they been dreaming up and waiting so patiently for, and for all the joys and celebrations that have been cancelled and postponed. 

The lists of prayers goes on and on in regards to the devastating impacts of this global pandemic. Even though we don’t understand it and we truly never will, I’m seeking to rest in the unwavering peace and constant faithfulness of Jesus through it all. I’m pressing into Him, into the love of those around us, into deeper connection with the ones we love. I’m believing that He too grieves this immense devastation, and through it all, He is still good.
