Easy Healthy Homemade Granola Bars Recipe

The truth is, there’s nothing better than reaching for a snack and knowing it’s packed with healthy ingredients that will nourish your body and keep you full. As a mother of littles, I love to make these healthy homemade granola bars in bulk as a “grab and go” snack for my children, knowing exactly what I’m putting into their little bodies…a healthy homemade granola bar filled with organic, whole foods that will stabilize blood sugar, keep them full longer and give their bodies the nutrients that he needs.

- Rolled Oats – I love to buy my organic oats in bulk from Azure Standard.
- Maple Syrup – This natural sweeter gives the granola bars the perfect sweetness.
- Eggs – To bind the granola bars together and increase the amount of protein.
- Nut Butter – Feel free to use almond butter, peanut butter or another nut butter of your choice.
- Cinnamon & Vanilla – To add a delicious flavor to these healthy homemade granola bars.
- Optional Additions – To increase the health benefits or protein content of the granola bars, try adding flax seed, chia seed or protein powder.

Making GRANOLA BARS
MIX. Combine the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until fully incorporated.
PREP. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8×8″ baking dish with parchment paper.
PREPARE. Place the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down with spatula until the mixture is evenly dispersed and smooth on top.
BAKE. Bake in the oven for 15-17 minutes. Let the granola bars cool completely before removing from the baking dish.
CUT. Remove the parchment paper with granola bars and set onto a flat surface. Cut into 12 pieces.
ENJOY. Wrap with parchment paper, if desired, and store the granola bars in an airtight container for one week. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 3 c. rolled oats organic
- 1/2 c. pure maple syrup
- 3/4 c. nut butter almond butter, peanut butter
- 1/4 c. coconut oil or butter grass-fed & melted
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts pecans, walnuts, almonds
- 1/2 c. dried fruit raisins, craisins, apricots, dates, coconut
- 2 tbsp. vanilla extract
Optional Add-Ins:
- 1/4 c. flaxseed meal
- 2 tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. protein powder
- 1/4 c. chocolate chips
Instructions
